Will a audio receiver work with a home theater system?
I'm looking to buy a home theater system like this one
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Klipsch+-+HD+Theater+300+5.1-Channel+Home+Theater+Speaker+System+with+Powered+Subwoofer/9388879.p?id=1218096958747&skuId=9388879#tabbed-customerreviews
and I have a reciever like this
http://www.amazon.com/Sherwood-RX4109-2-Channel-Stereo-Receiver/dp/B000MBUSD6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1260150135&sr=8-2
Would I be able to just plug the speakers from the theater system into my reciever using speaker wire like i did for my bookshelf speakers and be good to go

No this will not work, you need to get a 5.1 or a a 7.1 system to be able to get all the speakers to work. I would suggest a yamaha receiver over the others.
