I am looking to buy my first Home Theater System; and mid price model. Does anyone know if "Samsung - 1000W 5.1-Ch. Home Theater System with Upconvert DVD Player
Model: HT-Z310 | SKU: 8715679 " is a good one and how do you know if the speakers are wireless????

I just bought a new Samsung LCD TV (LN-T4661) and a LG Home Theater (LFD790) system. I set it all up and everything works great when I watch DVDs. However, I can't get the regular TV sound to go through the Home Theater.

I have the following connections right now:

Cable box to TV - HDMI
LG Home Theater base to TV - HDMI
LG Home Theater subwoofer to TV - Optical

Please help!

I have a Philips 1000W 5.1 1080p Up-converting DVD Home Theater system that I bought just over a year ago. All the satellite speakers and rear tower speakers work fine, (Managed not to hurt them yet) but I blew the voice coil out of the original sub woofer. (This happened within 2 months after purchase at half volume on a low Bass setting and warranty still didn't cover it, its 250W Max, 8") The impedance on the amp and the sub woofer is 3 Ohm, but I have a 10" 300W sub woofer that is 4 Ohm (3.7 Ohm In Specifications). I currently have a 3 Ohm Samsung sub woofer on the system that works great but it is only 6.5" and doesn't give me the Bass response I would like. Is it safe to try the 10" sub on it, or will that hurt the amp in the Home Theater System? Thank You. P.S. I don't care if I blow up the sub, its just sitting around and will get given away if I don't use it anyways, I just don't want to hurt the Home Theater system, if this won't work I will just stick with what I have. Thank You
Just wanted to add for the one answer...this Home Theater system IS 3 OHM for those who think that it is not. Maybe it is just because it is a cheap system, but Most i know of are 2, 4 or 8 ohm, but this is three. Thank You.
