I'm not an audiophile, but do enjoy music and video on a quality home theater. I have a 52 in Plasma, 1080i DVD, HD DirecTV w/ TiVO and some game systems. What is a solid receiver that will compliment the HD A/V and produce quality music?

I'd like to stay below 0.

I've seen some recommendations for Panasonic SA-XR55S and SA-XR57S, but I have no experience w/ Panasonic products.

I currently have a 50" plasma hdtv. I want to do a blu-ray 5 channel system and integrate my XBOX 360 into it as well, using the hdmi cord to optimize the picture quality. What brands should i consider when choosing a blu-ray player, receiver, surround speakers, and subwoofer?

Thanks.

i don't want to mess with the sound or video quality of my gaming setup

Panasonic 54" Plasma TV Energy Take 5 Classic 5.0 Speakers Polk Audio PSW10 Sub Onkyo SR607 Receiver Custom PC BluRay Death Race Movie. Sadly Death Race isn't full 1920x1080 resolution but its still a good movie none the less.

I just recently purchased a Panasonic TH-50PX75U Plasma and the Panasonic SC-PT650 Home Theater System. I didn't want to pay for the installation so we did it on our own. The only problem e have encountered is we can not get the surround sound to work when just watching cable or playing video games. It only works when using the DVD player. Is there a way to make it work?
Will these answeres provide surround sound when using Nintendo Wii?

Home theater subwoofers connect to a receiver, and this receiver delivers the low-frequency sounds to the subwoofer. Find out how the low-frequency signals in a subwoofer are amplified with help from the owner of an electronics store in this free video on home theaters.

This is a 7.1 home theater system that I designed. I found the models in the 3-D warehouse and pieced them together into this. It has a 50" 1080p Pioneer KURO PDP-5080HD, and a MacBook Pro. There is a Pioneer Elite VSX-92TXH 7.1 channel home theater receiver, a Sony PlayStation 3, a Humax PVR, a Zune HD, and a Nintendo Wii. To control all of these things, there is an AMX MVP-7500 universal remote. The speakers have 6" low-end drivers, 1" tweeters, and 3" midrange drivers in the towers. There is a powered subwoofer with a 500 watt BASH amplifier and a 12" long-throw bass driver. These speakers are in a 7.1 configuration. This home theater also has a pair of Berkline 45003-47 home theater chairs. Don't forget to rate and comment!
