I am going to try to make this as clear as I can so that there is no confusion in communication. I need this for a master bedroom (decent size) and later it may be making its way into a living room. I also need to know of the choices I listed which one is the best one in your opinion, why, and do you have any other recommendations around/below 0. I have also heard that a custom surround sound system is always better (getting receiver individually and adding speakers later), I am not opposed to that idea but I just dont know much about this so I think if I buy the entire package its going to make it easier on me as far as installation and set-up is concerned. Also, with new TV technology about to be coming out, do you think its a good idea to buy this right now or should I wait? Simply put, if you had those choices above (also any others you can think of) and you know a lot about the trends and what-not, what would you choose? what would you do (wait or not)?

I have a TV with 3 HDMI ports, a satellite receiver connected to my TV through HDMI. I also have a DVD player which has HDMI ports. I also have a home theater receiver; before I had the satellite receiver installed, I was able to use my home theater sysytem but now I can no longer. My home theater system does not have an HDMI port nor does it have an a/v digital optic fibre for audio, only video. Help! I have absolutely no clue how to hook this up so I can hear movies and shows coming from my satellite and then through my home theater system! Any suggestions would be so greatly apprecdiated!
So about a year or two ago I bought a DVD home theatre system, all the speakers connect to the DVD player. Now I am considering buying a blue-ray player but don't know if I can somehow connect it to the speakers on the DVD home theatre, or play it through the blue-ray but get the sound from the DVD system. The speakers are great and don’t really want to spend big money having to buy a bunch of new equipment. There is only one HDMI connection on both the TV and DVD player as well. Anyone have any suggestions?
