thanks nice vid very useful
@falconcrazy99, that Surround Sound provides a whole new gaming and movie experience. I find myself replaying older games like right now I’m playing the hell out of Doom 3.
I did that once, it really is very cool to use while playing on a console or watching a movie. Very useful vid.
Hey again, PCPlayer….yeah, I had to watch Lord of the Rings all over again. Doom 3 is Intense on it. Might even bust out with some old Silent Hill or Fatal Frame games on it.
ghetto as fuck lol i love his wiring
@DJsack16 I love it too. Some people like to put it behind walls but I actually like seeing it run across the floor. This receiver does not have HDMI but other than that, it’s pretty up-to-date. I upgraded the TV to 47 inch Flatscreen and am kinda sadden that I cannot go the HDMI route. One of these days I’ll get a new receiver with HDMI but according to the guys on CNET it does not matter. Still it would be fun to compare.
@MikesMethods im not big on putting the wirring in the walls either but you got a nice setup and i got a sony str-de845 receiver with no hdmi either but that baby powers 2 12 inch subs and a 5.1 system
@DJsack16 I don’t have a whole lot of experience with Subwoofers. This one is a Velodyne and to me it sounds really good. It can shake the house without much distortion. The 5 speakers is from Polk. I like them so much I don’t think I’ll buy speakers from anyone else. I’ve tried Bose before and feel Polk blows them away. I would like to try Klipsh someday. Sony Receivers are awesome. Mine is a Onkyo that’s a little underpowered for a DTS setup but for 5.1 it’s good.
@MikesMethods see my subs are some older 2006 klipsh and my 5.1 speakers are all sony but yeah klipsh are good speakers the still shake my walls and they are 5 years old so yeah i think you should try them
@DJsack16 lol Maybe sometime in the distant future. You see I got lots of expensive likings. I want to get a power tower and a new gun this year if I can make up my mind about which one I want. If you got money you don’t want send some down south and I’ll be glad to upgrade my home movie theater. lol
I don’t have a fucking receiver I have a olinross OR860 and I can’t find out where to plug in the cords! Help!
@TheConceptDude If all you have is speakers you will need a receiver to tell your speakers what to do. Can’t just PLUG it into the television. lol I guess you could plug 2 external speakers to your TV but if you did do that you would have the sound coming from your TV and your speakers.
Speaker wire or a chopped up brown extension cord? You decide…. LOL
@mizzuffinmizzan It works dude. I should do an update on this video. I got rid of that couch and TV and put a real high def TV in here. I even hooked up my computer to the TV and to the sound system so all my electronics are in one place now.
