701 series 2 go to bose.freeforums.org 601 seried 4 301 series 5 cervin vega cls series sub yamaha 7.1 and dvd

The new receiver's sub port is a plug, where as my the home theater dvd player runs it through the open pos/neg wires to the plastic clips...what I'm really asking is if I can buy any wire coupler to throw on the wires to plug it into the 1 hole port on the receiver, so can I do that?

Here i have another car stereo in my house i have an Audiobahn Sound Q 15" in a 4.7 cubic foot ported enclosure to 32 hertz, it is currently being pushed by a Panasonic 200 watt house amp, i already have a Sony Xplod 800 watt amp and a 4 guage Scosche wiring kit with a capacitor. I have a Pioneer deck running the whole system and a 1977 Pioneer 4 channel amp running the mids and highs, the mids and highs are Samsung home theater speakers and are extremely loud on the pioneer amp. I LIKE TO EXPERIMENT WITH DIFFERENT CAR SOUND SYSTEMS SO I HAVE 2 10" SONY XPLOD, 1 12" MTX 4500, 1 12" BAZOOKA P MILLER, 1 15" AUDIOBAHN SOUND Q, 1 12" ORION WITH RED CONE, AND SOON TO BE 1 12" ORION HCCA.

I just bought a Yamaha home theater system and a sony dvd player and i am trying to connect this to my LCD tv the best possible way....it is connected but it is not sounding like it should in different modes.....i am trying to get quality sound when watching my tv and also a dvd...i do have a digital cable dvr box to throw in here so my question is....what is the best way to hook this up? I do have 1 hdmi cable and 1 optical cable
little confused here....i got the hdmi from tv to dvd and the optical from dvr to receiver.....u are saying run the optical from dvd to receiver? then what do i run out of the cable box? you said component as in??? red white yellow ?

I have a DVD player that only has analog audio outputs and 1 digital output. However I just got a receiver/subwoofer and speaker system as a gift and it does not have a digital input port. It has six ports (one for each speaker (5) and one for subwoofer). How can I connect from digital out (DVD) to 6 Analog In (receiver)??

I have a home projector hooked up to a HD-DVD player in the back of my living room. I have to use an optical cable to hook the surround sound receiver to the player. I currently have the receiver in the back of the room with the player because of the short length of the optical cable, which causes the front speakers to be the longest wired speakers, Is there any better way to set this system up? Is there a wireless system out there that would make it easier? Thanks for your help.

This is supposed to be a video response to woody's gamertag. He concluded headsets were better, I disagreed( even with 5.1 headsets-the speakers are too close together to have a reliable localization effect) so I did this video with some friends to add more evidence to the debate. Granted it looked like he was using a home theater in a box and I have a high end marantz receiver with energy speakers, however if u calibrate even the cheapest surround system I believe it will offer you much more of an advantage than even the most expensive gaming headsets. 2 speakers cant compare to 6, especially when most games come in 5.1 surround sound, and they usually sound amazing, what do you think?

Ok, those home theater surround sound system in a box, like 5.1 surround and Blu-ray, is that all? Like you dont need a reciever, will the player that comes with the home theater thingy act as a receiver. And if I get one of those do I need a receiver. I mean some people say you dont need a recever. Best answer only fo those who have a home theater and have tried this or done this.
Oh and please provide details in your answer

System was 199.99 @ Bestbuy in Canada,Just a basic system,It will do for know!

Obviously I'm not looking for a suberb setup in this price range. What I am looking for is a system that has a receiver, DVD player, center channel speaker, 4 sattelites and a sub-woofer.

I did buy one a few years ago for only 0 new and it actually wasn't bad. So I'm thinking that 0 might just blow me away!
