I am looking into adding surround sound to my television. I understand computers, TV's, blurays, etc. but audio equipment is foreign to me. I have some simple questions:
What does it take to get a system set up? Wires in the walls? What if house wiring is out of date?
Also, what are some good brands of equipment? Preferably for under 0. So Klipsch is not an option.
My home theater system sounds like crap. I have an entry-level dvd player and A/V receiver. The picture is ok, but the sound is real tinny. I have a pair of Bose 201s and a subwoofer (decent speakers). Any ideas? Should I invest in a better DVD player or a better A/V receiver?
its a panosonic home theatre system the sub that is included doesent put out enough base for my taste.
i have genesis media labs IM-66 and a govideo dvd/vcr combo. what cables do i need to connect them?
im66 does not have coaxial input nor its optical, all it has is DVD inputs which has three red input and three white input, how am i suppose to get that many cables
Installing a home theater subwoofer from www.lavasubs.com
Speakers plus dvd player in a package like Pioneer HTS-950NXT - Home theater system cost less than a pair of good quality speakers. I have good main speakers. Just want to have speakers as Presence speakers for a Yamama system and want an extra subwoofer as an add-on to the main speaker and two surround speakers or surround back speakers. Thx

I would like to buy a 5.1 home theater system and a LED TV. My desired place to watch it is in family room with a fireplace. I know I could hang the TV above fireplace but not sure about the home theater (Blue ray DVD player, receiver and speakers). I would also like the wires be concealed.
Thanks.
