I recently purchased a HDTV with 1080p and a blu-ray DVD player (PS3), and wonder what are home theater systems that would provide better outcomes at a reasonable cost (<0). Do I need to buy a system or a receiver and separate speakers with capacity of 7.1 channel and HDMI 1.3 output?. Any recommendations on particular brand name and model?
I am finishing my basement and putting together a media center...I have a 52" Sony Bravia TV and a Panasonic "Blue Ray player". I need a decent reciever (Onkyo?) and do they have AM/FM? Can I get a Computer remote to control everything?(display on remote).Speakers?(Bose?)
GC Hosts Mike Agerbo and AJ Vickery bring us the complete home theatre package with Samsung's LED TV, Blu-Ray Player and Virtual Surround Sound speaker system. Season 6 - Episode 4.
My home theatre system: Sony DAV-DX155 needs a stronger FM receiver so it can catch FM signals. When it was bought, it came with an AM receiver but it's not like I would use it anyways. Anyone know where to buy an FM receiver for home theatre systems, specifically Sony?
...and it has been acting very strange the last few days. To start with it was just randomly changing the audio source whenever I was watching a movie or playing a game, but now it's turning itself off and on and the remote doesn't want to function. When I try to watch a movie now the remote is pretty much unusable. It constantly is taking me back to the root menu whenever I push a button and none of the playback buttons work once I actually get a movie started. The problems with the player aren't solely the remote though, I tried taking the batteries out of the remote and it still did things by itself.
Last night in fact it turned itself on and then changed to the FM tuner and I had to unplug it from the wall to keep it from waking anyone else up.
It's one of those "home theater in a box" setups, which I know is pretty much asking for trouble anyway, but I was wondering if this sounded like anything that could be fixed easily enough.
Eu fiz meu quarto Home Theater e coloquei um mp4 player como acessório. (Desculpe o chiado ao fundo, são os sons do subwoofer que a câmera não consegue gravar). My pc is gateway 420gr with Pentium 4 processor 515, 160 gb, 512 mb dor. I don't have a clue how to hook this up and I truly need some detailed help with step by step instructions. Or if anyone knows of any videos on net that will show me?

I bought 2 12" subwoofers for a car at circuit city and I have a home theater system with 2 open ports, each one supplies 120w and my subwoofer peaks at 2000watts, so I at least want to get up to 240w. Is it safe connect my subwoofer to both ports at the same time?
